TerraCycle Brigade

The Library is also collecting recyclables as a part of the TerraCycle Brigade!  Through this program, we collect empty wrappers and containers normally thrown in the trash, and send them in to be made into new products.  For example, Capri Sun pouches are made into bags and purses that are offered for sale on the TerraCycle website!   For each item we send in, we receive $.02 in funds to be used for library resources and programs.  Items can be left in the boxes in the front entry of the library during regular business hours - Thank you for supporting this effort!

  • Malt-o-Meal Cereal Bags
  • Kashi Packages - all boxes, bags and wrappers
  • Scott brand plastic packages
  • Huggies plastic packages

Featured Business of the Month

At the front desk of the Library, you may have noticed that various businesses are displaying their products and company information.  This is a part of our effort to support local business people, by offering them a free place to get their information out to you - their customers!  Each month will feature a new business, so be sure to come in to check out each one.  If you are a business owner and would like to be featured, please contact Michelle to sign up for your dates; we are now scheduling into 2011.
